When we started CompuSports Radio and Coaches Corner in January of 2010, we had a lot to learn about podcasting, streaming audio and building an online talk radio "station" for football coaches. For that reason, we chose Podomatic to host our shows and began developing a web site at www.compusportsradio.com that includes information about each show, "bios" for the guests who have appeared on our shows and more.

CompuSports Radio started out with a football X's and O's show - Coaches Corner , and a technology show geared toward coaches - Tech Talk. We quickly realized that it was the football X's and O's show that was the most popular with football coaches, so added another show, Moving the Chains that was produced for us by Coach Big B - the founder and Host of his own Red Zone Show.

Coach John Hendrick of Tulane University discusses the 3-5-3 Defensive Scheme along with Zone Blitz concepts in this edition of Coaches Corner. Coach Hendrick draws on his 30 years of football coaching experience at the Collegiate level in this information packed conversation with Host John Anderson. Hendrick takes us back to his days at Mississippi State where, in 1996 the staff began experimenting with the 3-3-5. Coach Mountjoy, widely known on coaching message boards as "Oneback" discusses the surprising origins and evolution of today's Spread Offenses and a number of related topics. Coaches Corner is on location with Coach Donnie Kiefer of Tuscola HS in Waynesville, NC. Coach Kiefer has a long history of turning around football programs in the state of North Carolina, including Roanoke, East Carteret, and Tuscola High schools . He discusses his strength training and condition principles and how they are applied to practices in the Tuscola football program. In addition, Coach Kiefer talks about how Tuscola packages its running game from the Spread.

Dr Chris Stankovich, Sports Psychologist talks about Leadership and a number of other topics of importance for coaches. Dr. Stankovich is a counselor, teacher, media spokesperson, and researcher in the field of sport, exercise, & health psychology who has studied the variables most closely linked to “peak performers,” as well as the common factors that regularly hold us back from reaching our full human potential.

A High Tempo Spread Offense is the topic in this edition of Coachs Corner. Host John Anderson interviews Shane Laws, Head Football Coach at AC Reynolds HS in Asheville, NC.

Thomas Holcolmb, Assistant Football Coach from Gadsden, AL and founder of Hawkeye Vision Sports Vision Training is the guest on this edition of Coaches Corner. Coach Holcolmb talks Multiple Offense concepts and provides a brief introduction to the Hawkeye vision trainign system and the incredible results it achieves.

Andrew Coverdale is the guest on this edition of Coaches Corner, and the topic is the passing game - specifically the Spacing Concept and its use in the 3 Step Passing Game.

Coach Coverdale is currently the offensive coordinator at Trinity High School in Louisville, Kentucky, where he has been a part of four state championship teams. Widely respected for his thorough understanding of offensive football and for his ability to teach players at all competitive levels, Coverdale has written a number of well-received instructional books and has been featured on 11 instructional DVDs.

Nationally renowned High School Coach Lew Johnston from Chesapeake Virginia visits Coaches Corner to talk about his Spread Wing Attack. Coach Johnston
was the head football coach at Western Branch High School in Chesapeake, VA, for 22 years, with an overall record of 163-64-3, including five southeastern district championships between 1997 and 2006 and one eastern regional championship (2002).

This edition of Coachs Corner features Offensive Line Coach Ken Wilmesherr, of Grossmont College in El Cajon, CA. Coach Wilmesherr talks Zone Blocking and other topics of interest to Offensive line coaches, and offers a number of tips and insights that can benefit any football coach.

Part II with Matthew Haney.

Coach Matthew Haney visits Coachs Corner to talk about the Double Wing Offense, the 46 Defense and the approach that he used in building a highly successful Junior High program at Canton Middle School in Canton, NC.

Coach Haney's record of 36 wins and 12 losses, 2 undefeated conference championship seasons and 2 runner up champion seasons was a major improvement for a school that only two winning seasons in its history. Coach Haney attributes much of the success at Canton Middle to running the unique Double Wing offensive system, and a 46 style of defense.

Coaches Corner returns with a new format, featuring three guests. Coach Larry Beckish kicks off the show talking about practice guidelines set by Coach Lou Holtz while at the University of Minnesota. Coach Beckish is followed by Coach Mike Walker of Coaches Learning Network, who talks about some of the changes and new features in the works for CLN visitors and members. The show wraps up with Red Zone Radio's Coach Big B reviewing the recent guests on his Red Zone Radio show.

Wing-T Football and Defensive Schemes are the topics of discussion in this edition of Coach's Corner, when Host John Anderson welcomes Glen McNew, legendary coach from Morgantown, WV.
